HGV Class 1 Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Solihull, West Midlands . This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of household goods with plenty of ongoing work available. Shifts: Monday - Friday: Start times - 03:00 - 06:00 (some weekend availability require) Rates of Pay: £17.00 - £20.35 per hour Benefits: Your benefits as a HGV Class 1 Driver are: Excellent Hourly Rates Ongoing Work Weekly Pay Overtime Available Onsite Canteen/Vending Machine/Pool Tables Training Provided Temporary to Permanent Opportunity Immediate Starts No weekend working Early finish on Fridays Employee Well-being Programme Day to Day Duties Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to: Operate and drive various Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhere to traffic laws and regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed Essential Skills: As a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need to: Hold a valid UK CE Licence Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving a CE vehicles No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English Experience operating various trailer types Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills Effective communication skills Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines Desirable Experience: Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial Training: Industry related training and ongoing support throughout Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link below or get in touch with our recruitment team to find out more People Solutions do not charge any of their candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
