Class 2 Refuse Driver

Class 2 HGV Driver required in Hampshire TLP Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a local Hampshire company for an experienced Class 2 HGV Day Driver. What's on offer Weekday shifts only keep your weekends free! £14.50 per hour Friendly, supportive environment with a real team mentality Working with a variety of Class 2 vehicles and collection routes 24/7 support from our specialist team Pro-rata Paid Annual Leave for PAYE employees Your role You will be operating a range of Class 2 vehicles and working closely with a team of loaders and recycling operatives to ensure timely and safe collection of recycling goods from residential and commercial properties. Key Responsibilities: Drive and operate a variety of HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently Follow pre-planned routes to collect recyclable materials including paper, plastics, metals, and other goods Assist with the loading and unloading of recyclables when required Ensure all collections are completed in accordance with company guidelines and local council regulations Carry out vehicle checks and report any faults or defects Maintain accurate records of collections, mileage, and fuel usage Communicate effectively with the transport office and collection team Adhere to all health and safety procedures and road transport regulations Requirements: Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card Previous experience in a waste management or recycling environment is desirable but not essential Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team Good communication and customer service skills Physically fit and able to assist with loading when necessary Knowledge of Hampshire roads and routes is an advantage Please contact Monika at our Poole Branch on 01202 295755 for further details or apply with your CV for a call back.
