Vacancy: Senior to Principal Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist Location: Edinburgh Office Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE) A leading consultancy is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to join their Edinburgh office at Senior to Principal level. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across energy, transportation, industrial, retail, residential, and commercial sectors. Key Responsibilities: * Interpretation and manipulation of geotechnical data from site investigations * Preparation of ground models and design parameters * Geotechnical analysis and design (e.g. pile design, settlement, slope stability assessments) * Review of modelling and analysis outputs * Mentoring and training junior staff * Supporting bid preparation and business development Requirements: * Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Geology * MSc in Geotechnical Engineering (preferred) * Chartered membership of ICE or Geological Society * Experience managing multiple projects * Proficiency in software such as Holebase, Slide, Settle 3D, Wallap * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Full UK driving licence What’s Offered: * Competitive salary up to £50,000 * Structured training programme * Excellent career development opportunities * Flexible benefits package * Supportive and innovative team environment
