HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver

HGV Class 2 Driver Pay rate: £16.95- £18.00 per hour , weekly pay in arrears, every Friday Job location: Abingdon, OX14 Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 6.00am till 3pm Industry: Waste & Recycling Gr8 Connect are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our successful client based in the Abingdon, OX14 area . Our client who specialises in Waste Management is transforming waste into valuable resources and lessening its impact on the environment. Duties & Responsibilities The right person will be responsible for driving the refuse lorry/dustcart and assisting loaders with collecting/emptying bins from residential premises, returning them where necessary, and ensuring all additional work and missed bins are completed. We prioritise safety and efficiency in our operations, providing necessary training and PPE to ensure a professional and secure working environment. A minimum of 12 months experience in HGV Class 2 driving is essential. Drive and operate a class 2 dust cart, refuse lorry, or bin lorry Perform daily walk-around vehicle checks Collect refuse from a different local area each day of the week Assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins Work as part of a small team Person Specification UK HGV Class 2 driving licence (minimum 6 months) Digital tachograph card & CPC card Good team working skills and good communication skills Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage Benefits Guaranteed Hours Available Temp to Perm position Holiday pay Dedicated Account Manager If the role of HGV Class 2 Driver is the right role for you, apply now and a member of the Gr8 Connect Team will contact you to discuss the role in more detail.
