Job Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant | Full-Time Support Role in Newport, Gwent Location: Newport, Gwent, UK Salary: £88.92 per day (minimum) Job Description: Our client, a highly regarded primary school in Newport, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about supporting young learners and fostering an inclusive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: * Provide general classroom support to teachers and students across the Foundation Phase. * Assist in implementing lesson plans and activities that promote positive learning experiences. * Work in partnership with the Class Teacher to create an engaging, inclusive, and nurturing classroom setting. * Support individual pupils and small groups, ensuring they stay motivated and on task. * Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive relationships among students. * Contribute to a safe and welcoming environment, adhering to school policies and procedures. Ideal Candidate Requirements: * Previous experience working with young children in a school or similar setting is desirable. * Strong communication and team-working skills. * A proactive, caring attitude with the ability to adapt to different needs of pupils. * Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting student development. * Eligible to work in the UK and possess the right to work in education.
