Fire Alarm Service Engineer – Essex (No London Travel) Location: Benfleet (covering Essex and surrounding areas – no travel into central London) Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum (depending on experience & qualifications) Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Benefits: Company van fuel card | Local work only | Optional overtime (evenings & weekends) Company Overview Educate Recruitment Hub are recruiting on behalf of our client, a highly respected, ISO9001-accredited fire safety company based in Benfleet, Essex. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join their professional and dedicated team. The Role As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for: * Servicing, maintaining, and testing fire alarm systems to BAFE SP203-1 standards. * Carrying out fault finding, remedial work, and minor installations. * Working across a variety of client sites in Essex and nearby areas (no central London travel). * Ensuring all work meets company and industry quality standards. * Providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong client relationships. * Keeping company van, tools, and documentation organised and up to date. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should have: * A minimum of 2 years’ experience in fire alarm servicing. * Strong working knowledge of BS5839 Part-1:2017. * Experience with both addressable and conventional systems. * FIA Modules 4, 5, and 6 (Service, Maintenance & Design) desirable. * Strong fault-finding and technical ability. * Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills. * A full, clean UK driving licence. * Basic IT competency. * Experience with CCTV or Door Entry Systems – an advantage. * Platform Licence 1, 2, or 3 – desirable but not essential.
