What You'll Do Strategic Leadership Architect and deploy carrier-grade fixed network solutions across fiber optics, GPON/EPON, SDN/NFV, and bearer network ecosystems Master end-to-end bearer networks: optical transport (DWDM/OTN), metro aggregation, IP/MPLS backbone, and microwave transmission Lead and develop multidisciplinary technical teams (15 engineers) driving innovation and operational excellence Drive technical strategy for large-scale network transformation projects aligned with business objectives Operational Excellence Execute logical deployment strategies including provisioning, service activation, and zero-touch deployment frameworks Command Tier 3/4 technical support operations with root cause analysis and incident elimination protocols Optimize warranty lifecycle and spares inventory ensuring Delivery measurable improvements: 99.99% uptime, 40% MTTR reduction, enhanced operational efficiency Technical Mastery Eliminate network bottlenecks through proactive capacity planning and infrastructure optimization Orchestrate vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and enforce SLA compliance Establish comprehensive technical documentation and deployment playbooks Champion adoption of 5G integration, edge computing, and automated network management What You Bring Required Experience Experience in telecommunications infrastructure and in senior technical leadership; Proven track record deploying large-scale networks (1MM subscribers or equivalent); Expert-level troubleshooting across physical and logical layers; Demonstrated success managing technical support operations and ITIL frameworks. Bearer Network Expertise (Must Have) Optical Transport: DWDM, OTN (OTU/ODU), SDH/SONET, WDM systems, EDFA, dispersion management IP/MPLS Backbone: Core routing, MPLS VPN (L2/L3), traffic engineering, segment routing, BGP/ISIS Access Networks: PON (GPON/XG-PON/XGS-PON/NG-PON2), Active Ethernet, FTTx architectures Microwave Transmission: P2P links, spectrum planning, link budget calculations Technical Skills Logical provisioning systems, EMS/NMS platforms, network orchestration tools Advanced diagnostics: OTDR, OSA, BERT, spectrum analyzers, protocol analyzers OSS/BSS systems, monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds), ServiceNow, Jira Automation: Ansible, Python scripting Cloud-native architectures, Docker/Kubernetes, DevOps methodologies Deployment & Operations Complex cutover management and phased rollout strategies with zero service disruption Multi-tier support framework design and escalation matrix implementation Data-driven spares management and predictive maintenance programs Vendor negotiation and RMA cycle management Process automation and provisioning timeline reduction Leadership Capabilities Proven ability to identify and develop high-potential talent, assessing how candidates think and solve problems under pressure Building high-performing teams in fast-paced, demanding environments Strategic mindset balancing operational needs with long-term architectural vision Cross-functional collaboration across deployment, support, procurement, and vendor management Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
