Job Description Job Description Interim Director of Nursing Location: Newark, DE 19713 Schedule: Monday – Friday, no weekends or holidays (some flexibility depending on case load) Position Overview: A high-volume pain management surgery center is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing team during the temporary absence of the current DON. This role requires a strong clinical leader who can manage operations, mentor staff, and collaborate closely with the facility administrator. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing operations. Ensure high-quality patient care in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Manage and mentor a team of approximately 20 direct reports. Collaborate with the CEO/Facility Administrator to optimize workflow and operational efficiency. Support clinical staff in maintaining best practices, patient safety, and documentation standards. Proactively address challenges in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment. Qualifications: Active RN license in Delaware BSN required BLS & ACLS certification 10 years of strong nursing leadership experience Basic understanding of Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) operations Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with clinical teams Experienced, proactive, and a team-oriented approach Compensation: $140,000 – $160,000 annually (negotiable) Why Join: Lead a busy, high-performing team in a supportive environment Opportunity to make a significant impact on clinical operations and patient care
