Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, flexible Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer with at least 1 year of specialty experience and ARDMS certification for a variable shift assignment. Responsibilities Work in an ultrasound unit within a Level II Trauma Center serving a large regional area Possible rotation between main campus and outpatient imaging center as discussed during interview Adult patient experience required; pediatric experience preferred Variable 40-hour workweek schedule May float between sites as needed Uses Cerner EMR system Support provided by lead technologist and physician team Details regarding patient volume and case types will be discussed during interview First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years overall sonographer experience Solid color scrubs allowed; facility-provided if needed Free parking available Flu vaccination required for assignments beginning on or after 9/30/2024, with medical exemptions considered Time off requests must be pre-approved by manager Candidates will participate in a manager interview Requirements Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a sonographer ARDMS certification required (AB or OB specialty, both preferred) BLS certification required Compact or Maine state license required if applicable Must not have previously worked in a permanent capacity at any Northern Light Health hospital Must live at least 100 miles South/Southwest of Bangor, Maine for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-611514.
