Job Description Summary All resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers’ site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair, and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well‑defined operations framework, following a step‑by‑step sequence of standard operational tasks to achieve the end result. Description The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of the customer’s equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions Total system‑level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair on designated equipment. Interface with doctors and technicians regarding equipment status issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain communication with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow‑up. Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner. Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated. Identify sales opportunities and communicate them to the account team in his/her geographic area. Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost‑effective service to the assigned area. Responsibly complete all administration tasks on time. Ensure timely completion of assigned FMIs and PMs. Assist less experienced Junior Field Services Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes. Cooperate with internal stakeholders and interlocutors. Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement. Quality Specific Goals Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. Identify and report immediately customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization. Required Qualifications Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, IT Engineering or similar field, or high specialization technical Diploma and relevant experience with the field and with customers. 5 years of experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment. Comprehensive knowledge of a specific modality or multi‑modalities, extensive knowledge and experience of Ultrasound systems. Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly. Expert in interacting with the customer, driving positive relationships, ensuring satisfaction. Based in Veneto or able to relocate. Fluent in Italian and English. EU Work Permit. Preferred Qualifications Ability to show self‑initiative & motivation and to work independently with minimum direction. Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution‑based service process. Change agent and process‑oriented. IT & connectivity skills.
