Job Description Job Description We have partnered with a 101 unit affordable housing property in Bridgeport, CT that is in need of help in the office to cover a Maternity leave. This role could be a Recertification Specialist or an Assistant manager and involves supporting the property manager in daily operations across all properties and ensuring compliance with all affordable housing program regulations. The role requires excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Pay is $23/hour wirh a schedule of 8am - 5pm Mon-Fri Core responsibilities Compliance and administrative duties Maintain accurate and audit-ready resident files, including timely completion of all certifications and recertifications for programs like LIHTC, Section 8, and HUD. Ensure all properties remain compliant with local, state, and federal housing regulations and pass all physical and file audits. Prepare and submit required reports for multiple properties to regulatory agencies and management. Process and track housing assistance payments (HAP) and manage tenant ledger accounts. Utilize property management software, such as Yardi or OneSite, for data entry, record-keeping, and generating reports. Resident and community relations Assist in resident relations and address tenant inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner. Help manage leasing and move-in/move-out processes across all sites. Enforce community rules and regulations fairly and consistently. Help build positive community relations by assisting with resident events and partnerships with community resources. Property maintenance and operations Assist the property manager in managing daily operations across the assigned portfolio of properties. Coordinate with maintenance staff and outside vendors to ensure work orders and turnover production are completed promptly and properly. Conduct regular inspections of the properties to ensure they are well-maintained and meet safety standards. Manage property marketing and leasing efforts to ensure properties are consistently at optimal occupancy levels. Qualifications and skills Experience and education Prior experience in property management, preferably in affordable housing. Experience in a multi-site operation is highly desirable. Knowledge of various affordable housing programs (e.g., LIHTC, Section 8, HUD). A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often required for travel between sites. Customer service orientation: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents, vendors, and team members. Attention to detail: Meticulous record-keeping and a focus on compliance. Problem-solving mindset: Ability to troubleshoot and address complex issues efficiently. Adaptability and flexibility: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities Pay Statement and Pay Transparency Laws: rate of pay listed is on a per hour basis. You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions. Once both qualifiers are met you must complete the enrollment packet and your benefits will start on the first of the subsequent month.
