We’re 100 years young and we need you Job summary The Warehouse Associate has a key role in ensuring that products are received, verified, stored, and transported to the sales floor or in the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves constant handling of merchandise that varies in weight from light to heavy throughout the shift. Store overstock. Ship returns, process damaged claims and complete paperwork. Ensure inventory accuracy. Dispose garbage and cardboard. Operate all warehouse equipment safely. Stocking merchandise onto shelves and warehouse. Comfortable with technology, shelf capacities, and locating system. Accountable to proper presentation standards. Ongoing facing & aisle maintenance throughout shift. Leave aisles swept, tidy, and free of all debris. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations. Requirements / Skills Physically fit - ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A minimum of one year retail experience in a similar big box store. Must be available for weekend shifts. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to keep pace in a fast-moving work environment Very comfortable with technology Ability to complete detail-oriented retail tasks according to instructions and to demonstrate responsibility for outcomes Effective communication skills Ability to work in a team environment that provides assistance and support to co-workers to achieve common goals Positive attitude, punctuality and solid work ethic Canadian Tire stores are owned and operated by independent Associate Dealers.
