Position : 161557 Expected Start Date: November 24, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Weyburn Community Health Services Building City/Town: Weyburn Department: Mental Health Community Clinics & Programs - Adult Clinical Services Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: January 01, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 224 hours per 6 week-rotation Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: Yes Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Social Worker - BSW $35.137 to $42.966 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: The incumbent provides Mental Health Intake Services to Mental Health and Addiction clinics throughout the area, and provides some specific short term counselling/therapeutic services to individuals/families. Services are delivered through a combination of direct service, consultation, community resource development and education. The incumbent oversees smooth delivery of Intake Services and the delivery of referrals for services internally to the appropriate program/staff. The incumbent provides assistance to clients in the form of suggestions, guidance and/or direction to help clients to obtain services external to Mental Health and Addiction Services. May be assigned other related duties as required. The incumbent reports to the Supervisor of Adult Community Services or their designate and works as part of an interdisciplinary team. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Education Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Competencies Basic - Organizational skills Advanced - Interpersonal skills Advanced - Writing skills Advanced - Verbal communication skills Basic - Analytical skills Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge in individual, family, group, and crisis counselling methods Ability to prepare reports in a clear, concise and timely manner. Ability to prioritize Ability to work independently Ability to be innovative in service development, delivery, and problem solving Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Knowledge in assessment, treatment, and consultation Ability to act professionally, ethically and provide sound judgement Ability to competently use computers and software applications Ability to respond under pressure.
