The Role As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. Key Responsibilities Manage and provision storage volumes across production, test, and DR environments. Monitor storage usage and optimize performance. Participate in CAB (Change Advisory Board) reviews and ensure compliance with operational standards. Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and security teams. Technical Skills Proven experience with IBM z/OS mainframe environments. Strong knowledge of DASD and tape storage systems. Proficiency in tools such as DFSMS, DFSMShsm, ISMF, IDCAMS, and Tivoli Storage Manager. Ability to write and troubleshoot JCL (Job Control Language) and automation scripts. Understanding of disaster recovery procedures, data replication, and performance tuning. Advanced English Soft Skills Strong attention to detail and risk awareness in critical environments. Ability to work under pressure and handle production incidents. Effective communication and teamwork across cross-functional teams. Proactive mindset for identifying improvements and automation opportunities. Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree Preferred certifications (not a must have, but welcome): IBM Certified Specialist – Storage Technical Solutions ITIL Foundation Other relevant industry credentials.
