About the Role As a painter and decorator, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paints, stains and coatings to a wide range of commercial and industrial structures. This role requires precision, and eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the high standards expected of a Master Painter certified business. Key Responsibilities Prepare and treat surfaces by sanding, filling, cleaning and priming. Apply paint, varnish, stains and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Mix and match paints to achieve required colors and textures. Erect and dismantle scaffolding and ladders safely as required Work efficiently on commercial and industrial sites, including offices, warehouses, schools and government buildings. Interpret and follow job specifications, plans and drawings. Maintain tools, equipment and workspaces in clean and safe conditions. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards, including the use of PPE. Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients and team members. Qualifications and Experience Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or working towards) White Card Working with Children Check Current drivers license and reliable transport Experience with spray painting and using elevated work platforms (EWP license desirable) Skills Excellent attention to detail and workmanship Strong color vision and ability to match finishes Reliable, punctual and self-motivated Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and problem-solving skills If you have your Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or are working towards your qualification this is your opportunity to work with a Master Painter.
