Responsibilities Position is in an imaging department with weekend shifts from Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Setting is primarily hospital-based with duties in the CT scan area; may float to sister hospitals as needed Responsibilities include performing computerized tomography scans under the supervision of radiologists Patient population includes adults requiring diagnostic imaging for various medical conditions Utilizes Cerner for charting; prior experience with Cerner is preferred Main responsibilities include producing CT images as ordered, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate records Assists radiologists with procedures and supervises student technologists as assigned Strict adherence to radiation safety and infection control protocols is required Must provide clear patient instructions and communicate effectively with patients and families Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, radiation, and infectious materials Weekend and holiday work is required, and call coverage may be assigned based on department needs Compliance with all mandatory training and licensure requirements is expected Travelers must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible Assignments may last up to one calendar year, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning Requirements Active SC or compact state license required if applicable Registered in Radiologic Technology by the ARRT or permanent certification in Radiography from SCRQSA ARRT registration in CT is preferred Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required Graduate of an accredited Allied Health or Computed Tomography program preferred At least one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary Ability to perform and teach CT exams Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist in moving and lifting patients up to 50 lbs Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628932.
