Responsibilities Work in a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit within a hospital setting Care for a variety of cardiac patients including post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, and med/surg overflow cases Patient ratio is typically 1:4 12-hour day shifts from 0700 to 1930 Required to float to all inpatient units as needed No on-call or call-back requirements Required to work every other weekend and every other holiday Uses Epic EMR; at least 1 year of recent Epic experience required Candidates should be hard-working, resilient, and able to manage change well Independence and ability to complete tasks in a fast-paced, high turnover environment is expected Scrub colors are flexible and any color is permitted Holiday and weekend coverage is required as scheduled Orientation week hours may vary and are not guaranteed Requirements Active WI or compact RN license BLS and ACLS certifications required Must pass EKG test during the first week of hire At least 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU) Minimum 2 years of IMC, PCU, or Telemetry experience required Must have documented experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips At least one completed travel assignment required Experience with Epic charting within the past year Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622429.
