American Traveler is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a travel job in Portland, Oregon. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Echo Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 11/24/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a travel contract with rotational call requirements. Responsibilities Short-term acute care hospital setting Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer unit with a 1:1 patient ratio Floats required between units and to affiliate hospitals as needed Day shift, 4x10 hour schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Rotational on-call required: one weekday every two weeks and one full weekend every 4-6 weekends Weekend work includes call coverage or Sunday shift depending on rotation Epic EMR system used; Epic experience required Scrub color is any color Vehicle required for assignment due to float requirements Role requires commitment to work 3 out of 5 major holidays Maximum of 6 days or 3 consecutive days off may be auto-approved; additional time off may require approval and can delay onboarding First-time travelers will be considered Returning former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility Modules for onboarding are non-billable and average 16 hours, completed pre-start and annually All travelers are expected to float across facilities within the region Scrub attire is any color unless assigned to OR/L&D, where scrubs are provided Requirements Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Current Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer license required if applicable Proficiency with Epic EMR is required Ability to float between hospital units and affiliate hospitals Must provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years Must have valid SSN and DOB during compliance process Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624977.
