Job Description
What we're looking for As a Project Manager working within the Technology Practice at Noise Digital, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating complex technical projects for a growing development team, ensuring successful delivery through effective planning, execution, and stakeholder management. What you'll do The Technical Project Manager will work under a Project Management Office (PMO) structure and in tandem with other Technical Project Managers, Account Managers and Account Directors across Noise Digital to oversee the successful delivery of technology projects by ensuring standardized and efficient planning, monitoring and execution of technology projects across the department. With a strong understanding of marketing technologies and data analytics, this role will provide support in standing up technical projects from start to finish, including initial intake, defining and implementing the correct methodology, integrating and managing the SMEs, building project timelines and approach, defining and managing budget, and ensuring deliverables meet acceptance criteria, all while adhering to project management processes and best practices. This role will be responsible for collaborating with the Noise Client Services Team and the client’s product and/or brand teams to translate their needs into technical project scopes. This role will be responsible for managing project deliverables, acting as the conduit between client and development teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and within the standard of excellence the Technology Practice is committed to delivering. What you'll need to bring Project Management & Delivery Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for technical projects Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Noise subject matter experts (developers, strategists, client services) to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables Collaborate with Account Managers, Account Directors and/or PMO to draft, review and finalize Statements of Work (SOWs) Collaborate with external stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business goals and effective communication Manage project timelines, resources and risks, ensuring projects are completed on time, and within budget, whilst maintaining adherence to operational processes and standards Manage projects via PM software (Asana, JIRA, ClickUp, etc.), including project plans, resource assignment and task management Handle, maintain and control relevant project information including project documentation; statement of work, project estimates, RACI or RASCI matrix, dependencies, project plan, activity schedule; risk identification & management plan; communication & change management plan Process Management, Improvement and Quality Assurance Implement and oversee project management methodologies, including Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Waterfall approaches as project requirements dictate Review, QA and validate technical deliverables, including but not limited to, technical documentation and end user guides Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues as necessary and proposing solutions within the project team and to client Facilitate change requests in the event of major impact on scope, schedule, resourcing and budget Provide feedback to PMO on continuous improvements to existing project management processes and practices, incorporating lessons learned and best practices Stakeholder and Client Management Facilitate project kick-offs, collaborate with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure project alignment with business goals and effective communication. Facilitate regular status meeting cadences, including internal stand ups, external client statues, demos, and retrospectives Provide professional and proactive updates and communications to clients throughout the duration of the project Operational Oversight and Resource Coordination Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, providing guidance and support to project team members Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging cross-functional teamwork and knowledge sharing. Represent the Technology practice in cross-functional meetings and initiatives, advocating for team needs and requirements. Qualifications 2-3 years of project management experience with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional technical projects. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Analytics) or equivalent practical experience. Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Waterfall methodologies, with the flexibility to adapt approaches as needed. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Monday.com). Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and manage diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage projects autonomously and resolve issues with minimal oversight. Strategic mindset focused on driving operational excellence and continuous process improvement. Fiscal management skills, including experience with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization. Experience in the analytics industry; familiarity with data tools (Power BI, Looker), cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), and/or certifications (PMI, SAFe) are considered strong assets.
