Job Description: Assistant Lodge Manager and Seafaring Skipper Location: Mkambati Game Reserve Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Primary Industry: Travel, Leisure, Tourism, and Hospitality Secondary Industry: Travel, Leisure, Tourism, and Hospitality Job Duties: Assist in the management of lodge operations, including guest services, housekeeping, and maintenance Oversee and conduct seafaring activities, including sailing trips and boat maintenance Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards Manage and coordinate staff schedules and tasks Assist in marketing and promoting lodge and seafaring services Handle guest inquiries and provide exceptional customer service Required Qualifications: Valid Skipper's licence Experience in managing lodge operations Strong communication and leadership skills Knowledge of safety regulations in seafaring activities Education: Relevant qualifications in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of lodge management procedures Proficiency in seafaring techniques and navigation Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment Preferred Qualifications: First Aid certification Additional language proficiency Working Conditions: This role may require work on weekends, public holidays, and irregular hours. The position involves outdoor activities and exposure to varying weather conditions.
