(IT) Network Engineer (Juniper & Wi-Fi) - Winter Olympics Project, Italy

Overview We are seeking experienced Network Engineers with strong Juniper and wireless networking skills to join our technical operations team supporting the Winter Olympics 2026 in Italy. You will play a key role in ensuring reliable, high-performance network connectivity across Olympic venues, athlete villages, and supporting infrastructure. Job Details Job Title: Network Engineer (Juniper & Wi-Fi) - Winter Olympics Project, Italy Location: Northern Italy (Winter Olympics venues) – Milan, Cortina, Livigno Country: Italy Duration: Immediate start – March 2026 Contract Type: Fixed-term/Project-based Accommodation: Provided on site Start Date: As soon as possible Rate: Negotiable Responsibilities Deploy, configure, and maintain Juniper network infrastructure (Switches, Routers, Firewalls). Implement and optimise Wi-Fi networks across multiple venues and accommodations. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure maximum uptime. Coordinate with local and international technical teams, ISPs, and event stakeholders. Support temporary event networks (media centres, broadcast, athlete facilities). Document configurations, changes, and operational procedures. Ensure all installations meet security, performance, and compliance standards. Essential Skills & Experience Proven hands-on experience with Juniper Networks (EX, MX, SRX series). Strong understanding of wireless technologies (802.11 standards, RF planning, Wi-Fi controllers, access points). Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostics. Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, and VPNs. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work on-site and adapt to changing event requirements. Good communication skills in English (Italian a plus). Desirable Qualifications Juniper certifications (e.g., JNCIA, JNCIS, or higher). Experience in large-scale event connectivity or temporary deployments. Familiarity with broadcast or media network environments. Italian language skills or prior experience working in Italy.
