Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit within a Level II Trauma Center Level III Obstetrical Unit with a high patient volume (400 births in the summer) Care for laboring mothers and postpartum patients Expected to float to Postpartum and similar units as needed Day shift schedule: 3 or 4 twelve-hour shifts per week, generally 06:30–19:00 Weekend shifts are typically every other weekend, but frequency may increase to accommodate scheduling needs Epic EMR system is used and experience is required No call requirements Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum process Must be able to adapt quickly in a busy unit and offer support to a team with less tenured core staff Three days of orientation are provided during the first week Floating between facilities or units within skill set is expected Required to work at least 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day) Scrub color of choice allowed, except no reddish orange Free parking is provided by the facility First-time travelers are accepted Requirements Active WA or Compact RN license (pending license accepted for consideration) Current certifications in ACLS, BCLS, and AWHONN Intermediate Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum required Must provide a minimum of 2 supervisory references from comparable settings within the last 3 years Epic EMR experience required Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Former perm staff must have a 3-month gap before returning as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618283.
