Responsibilities Work in a hospital's Med/Surg Tele unit with an oncology patient population Typical patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:6 or more depending on census and acuity Night shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:30) Weekend coverage required every other weekend Floating to other Med/Surg Tele units as needed within skillset is required Charting is done using the Epic EMR system Provide nursing care for oncology and Med/Surg Tele patients, managing complex cases and prioritizing care appropriately Must be able to float within all Med/Surg Tele units as assigned Completion of pre-start training modules, including orientation and up to 18 hours of required facility modules, is mandatory Clinicians are required to work two out of three holidays during the assignment Returning RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must be separated from the health system for at least one year before eligibility for travel assignments Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to offer Scrub color or dress code information not specified Requirements Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required Experienced travelers only will be considered for this position Current BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred References required for consideration Background must be clear of open/active background or license issues Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624137.
