Responsibilities Position based in a 47-bed acute care Medical Surgical unit Patient population includes medical surgical and surgical oncology cases Nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights Night shifts are 12 hours each, with every other weekend and holiday required Floating may be required to other med/surg units on any campus Unit utilizes equipment including Epic EMR, AccuDose, bladder scanners, Phillips monitors, and telemetry Duties include collaborating with interdisciplinary colleagues, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, and practicing within full scope of nursing expertise Initial orientation includes 1 day lead center training and two 12-hour shifts with a preceptor Navy blue scrubs are required All staff must badge in and out while onsite Candidates must not have a permanent address within 60 miles of the facility; reduced local rate applies for those within 60 to 80 miles Candidates previously employed by the health system must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to consideration Requirements Active ND or Compact RN license required BLS certification through AHA required Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience Experience in a hospital with at least 200 beds and Level 2 or higher trauma experience required EPIC EMR experience required Previous surgical oncology experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621666.
