Responsibilities Position is in the Labor & Delivery unit of a short-term acute care hospital Assignment is for either 3x12 or 4x12 hour night shifts Care for L&D patients in a unit with approximately 200-300 births per month May float to affiliated hospitals or Methodist Hospital ED to provide OB-specific care under the guidance of a primary RN Use of Cerner EMR is required Perform high-risk and routine L&D interventions including NSTs, EFM, IUPC placement, OB-specific medication administration, blood product administration, IV starts, and recovery of C-sections Must provide care for complications such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes, preterm labor, malpresentation, and postpartum hemorrhage Participate in APGAR scoring, newborn assessment, and assist in both vaginal and cesarean deliveries Scrub color not specified; free parking available Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays Auto-approved RTO up to 5 days; more requires approval Pre-employment modules completed before start, averaging 8-16 hours Requirements Active IN or compact RN license in hand prior to start Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience, including previous L&D travel assignments Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (can be completed before start) University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE Cerner EMR experience required Must not be a local candidate or have been a perm or PRN IU employee within the last 12 months Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-611524.
