Irrigation Systems Technician

Purpose of the Role The successful candidate will take responsibility for the upkeep and efficient operation of irrigation systems across the estate, ensuring effective water management to support healthy gardens and vineyards. Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To Installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation and fertigation systems Monitoring system performance and water usage, and conducting regular inspections Adjusting irrigation schedules in consultation with the Horticulture Manager and Viticulturist Keeping accurate records of rainfall, irrigation, and fertigation activities Managing irrigation inventory and reporting faults or equipment issues Supervising garden staff and promoting safe and efficient work practices Assisting with general garden and farm maintenance as required, including planting, pruning, and pest control Operating tractors or equipment when necessary and maintaining high standards of estate presentation Criteria Previous experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair Working knowledge of fertigation and water management practices Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability Capable of supervising a small team and coordinating tasks effectively Reliable, energetic, and professional approach to work Valid drivers licence (not negotiable)
