Job Title: Code 14 Driver (with Mounted Crane Experience) Location: Paarl Job Type: Full-time About the Role: Our client a well-known Hardware Retailer are seeking a reliable and experienced Code 14 Driver with proven mounted crane (Palfinger / Hiab / Atlas or similar) experience to join their operations team in the Paarl area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation, loading, and offloading of heavy goods using a truck-mounted crane, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and according to safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Operate a Code 14 (EC) vehicle safely and efficiently in compliance with road and traffic laws. Use the truck-mounted crane to load, secure, transport, and offload goods or materials at various sites. Conduct daily vehicle and crane inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs. Ensure proper load securing and compliance with load weight regulations. Maintain accurate trip sheets, delivery documentation , and other relevant records. Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times. Provide professional and courteous service to clients and site personnel. Assist with other operational duties as required. Minimum Requirements: Valid Code 14 (EC) Drivers Licence . Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) . Mounted Crane Operator Certificate (F1, F2, or equivalent) . Minimum Grade 11 Minimum of 3 years experience operating a mounted crane. Clear driving record and no major traffic violations. Physically fit and able to perform manual duties. Strong understanding of road safety and crane operation safety protocols . Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required. Sober Habits Skills and Competencies: Excellent driving and crane operating skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Good communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
