Responsibilities Work on a 54-bed main cardiac telemetry unit in a hospital setting Majority of patients are cardiac including heart failure, MI (STEMI/NSTEMI), stroke, arrhythmias, and chest pain Cardiac drips are administered and remote telemetry monitoring is utilized May occasionally care for overflow medical patients Patient ratios may increase up to 1:7 during periods of high workload Work three 12-hour day shifts per week from 07:00 to 19:30 Every other weekend required No call requirements Floating may be required within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on volume or census Uses Cerner Powerchart for charting; prior Cerner experience required PCA support is present on the unit Must be willing to work at least 2 out of 3 holidays during the contract Scrub color is Caribbean Blue Must complete up to 8 hours of pre-start orientation modules within one week of signing Professional conduct and attendance are strictly enforced; contract may be terminated for conduct issues Holiday and time-off requests should be communicated in advance Maximum of 10 days RTO is allowed during the assignment Requirements Active MI RN license required Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (pending certifications accepted with commitment to obtain prior to start) Cerner Powerchart experience required Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted First time travelers accepted Return staff must have a 3 year gap before eligibility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622278.
