Nursery Production Labourer

Job Description Job Description DeVry Greenhouses is seeking a motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our nursery production team. The core focus of this position is to support plant care and production activities in the nursery. The ideal candidate has some flexibility with hours due to seasonal volume change during peak and non-peaked periods. Regular hours are 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Some Saturday work may be required during peak seasons. Responsibilities and Duties Propagating and transplanting nursery stock Potting and re-potting plants Planting, spacing, and staking trees, shrubs, and young plants Pruning trees, shrubs, and plants Digging, cutting and transplanting trees, shrubs, flowers and plants Spraying trees, shrubs, flowers, and plants to prevent disease and pests Cleaning and maintaining work areas Qualifications Hard working and reliable Self-motivated with a positive and can-do attitude Able to work independently or as part of a team Willing and able to work longer hours during peak shipping seasons Previous nursery experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right individual Total Rewards Competitive hourly wage $15-$18 USD based on experience Positive and support team environment Paid time off for all U.S Federal Holidays (voluntarily provided by DeVry)
