Join a team of over 120 ecologists working out of six offices across the UK. Their locations are in beautiful countryside areas, offering widespread project reach and scenic office views. Your new role You'll be part of a dynamic ecology team working on complex and rewarding projects across the UK. You'll be based from either their Exeter or Wareham offices. Open to consultant or senior level applications. You will be responsible for… Assisting and leading ornithology surveys. Including breeding & wintering birds, raptors, farmland and waders Prepare technical ecological reports / impact assessments Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams Supporting business development and contributing to bids and proposals Supporting the completion of other terrestrial ecological surveys Mentoring team members from an ornithological perspective What you'll need to succeed A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field Proven ornithological experience in the public or private sector Excellent bird identification skills and the ability to demonstrate experience in a range of ornithology surveys and techniques Strong understanding of UK ecology legislation and best practice Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Membership or eligibility for CIEEM (desired) What you'll get in return £28,000 - £39,000 per annum (depending on experience) An Employee-Owned trust, allowing the team to share in the future growth and success of the business Flexible and hybrid working options - with possibility of a compressed working week A supportive, multidisciplinary team environment Opportunities for career progression and CPD The chance to work on nationally significant and award-winning projects Beautiful office locations in the countryside What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
