HVAC Technician (lead installer)Must

Job Description Job Description Job description: Overview We are seeking an experienced HVAC technician (lead installer) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, with hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of HVAC systems while providing exceptional service to our clients. Typical working days are Monday-Friday with varying shifts depending on the season. Summer shifts may require working some Saturdays as needed. Background check is required as we do service within the Military Housing communities in San Diego. Pay starts at $30 but is negotiable based on experience. Paid holidays and 1 week paid vacation. Duties Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment. Troubleshoot HVAC issues using schematics and diagnostic tools. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and longevity. Conduct field service calls to assess and resolve client issues. Collaborate with team members on HVAC design projects and property maintenance tasks. Operate tools such as ohmmeters, welders, and other equipment for repairs. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used. Perform quality control inspections Provide written estimates to customers Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC/R industry. Strong understanding of construction principles related to HVAC installation. Valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for travel between job sites. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. EPA 608 Certification Type 2 required Must be up to date on codes Ability to lead and train crews Company Description We are a small business that I started in 2023. I have 20 years in the HVAC field and decided to go out on my own and now have a small group of employees and looking to expand with another experienced technician that can lead and train my other employees.
