Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/03/2025 Duration: 18 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse - Full Time (36 Hours) Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Full time position with day/night rotation including 2 on-call shifts in 4 weeks. Contracts must run through January with no guaranteed return to office on the major holidays. Job Description The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates the care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. The RN specializes in caring for adults, adolescents, and geriatric populations with medical conditions. Responsibilities Applies nursing knowledge and skill in the delivery of care. Assesses patient/family needs through active listening and analyzing data from observations or health team communication. Creates individualized, culturally relevant plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Promotes and protects the health, safety, and rights of the patient. Teaches patients and families self-care strategies to enhance understanding and compliance post-discharge. Conducts evaluations of care quality and effectiveness, engaging in self-evaluation for professional development. Builds caring relationships through attentive and empathetic communication. Effectively administers medications and implements nursing interventions as per protocols. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure NYS RN Licensure Required BLS and ACLS (AHA or RQI only) Required One year of experience serving in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse Required Why ARMStaffing?
