Project Manager – Professional Services | Private Equity | 12 Month FTC At Kinbrook, we’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of managing IT projects from cradle to grave . This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver projects across a diverse group of businesses within our private equity portfolio — including wealth management, accountancy, legal services, and advisory . Working with a blank canvas , you’ll take ownership of end-to-end project delivery — from planning through to execution and implementation. You’ll lead complex IT and business transformation initiatives , focusing on replacing legacy systems and introducing new core platforms across finance, HR, and operations. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating resources, managing risk, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget , in alignment with the group’s strategic priorities. Key Responsibilities Define and create project plans for project, portfolio, and product prioritisation and implementation Lead the planning and execution of major system implementation projects, including Core Finance and HRIS replacements Evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and return on investment (ROI) criteria Build, lead, and coach multiple project teams throughout project lifecycles Facilitate operational checkpoints, steering meetings, and project reviews Assess and resolve all high-priority project risks as they are encountered Ensure adherence to project methodology compliance standards Monitor and control project budgets, timelines, and quality standards Provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior leadership on project status Support business readiness and change management efforts About You We’re looking for a proven project manager, with extensive experiance managing a combiation of IT and business transformation projects.To succeed, you will bring : Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field Must have a PMI, PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile PM certification Proven track record of delivering core system replacements in mid-to-large organisations Experience in professional services or accountancy sector Skills & Competencies Excellent project management, organisation, and team collaboration skills Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills Strong facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement ability Ability to anticipate risks and devise responsive solutions in real time Resilience and comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, and unpredictability Strong team leadership and coaching skills Knowledge of business operations, objectives, and enterprise goals Technical Skills Deep understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall) Proficient in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Visio, Jira, Clarity) Familiar with budgeting, forecasting, and resource management practices Please note, this position will be offered as an initial 12-month fixed-term contract , with a view to transitioning into a permanent role . Please note, we’re currently only considering applicants who are based in the East Midlands area.
