Quantity Surveyor

We’re looking for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor from a main contracting background to support a series of commercial and retail fit-out projects in South West London. You’ll be joining a well-established London contractor delivering Cat A and Cat B fit-outs, commercial refurbishments, and resi-to-commercial conversions. The role involves taking ownership of cost management, procurement, and commercial reporting from tender through to final account. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and tender documentation Oversee subcontractor procurement, valuations, and variations Administer JCT contracts and manage commercial change control Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting Liaise with project and site teams to maintain commercial control The Ideal Candidate: Proven experience within main contracting Background in commercial, retail, or fit-out projects Strong understanding of JCT contracts Confident working independently on multiple packages Excellent communication and negotiation skills Details: Contract length: 3–6 months Location: South West London (on-site) Reporting to: Commercial Manager Rate: Competitive / going rate Immediate start available About You: This opportunity will suit a proactive, detail-driven QS who enjoys working in a fast-paced, design-led environment and can deliver strong commercial outcomes with minimal supervision.
