Engineering-Biased Site Manager – Civil Engineering & Highways Exeter / Plymouth region We’re looking for an Engineering-biased Site Manager to take the lead on civil engineering and highways projects across Devon and Cornwall. You’ll be delivering schemes such as junction improvements, cycleway extensions, and temporary works , managing day-to-day site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme . This is a great opportunity to join a respected contractor with a strong regional presence and a solid pipeline of local work. What you’ll be doing: ✅ Lead site delivery to programme, budget, and specification ✅ Drive HSE performance – inductions, RAMS, permits, audits ✅ Manage subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials ✅ Oversee quality – ITPs, inspections, NCRs, handover docs ✅ Liaise with clients, designers, and key stakeholders What we’re looking for: Engineering-biased Site Manager with highways / civils experience Background working for a Tier 1 main contractor Strong technical understanding of highways schemes Confident communicator and problem solver Full UK driving licence Essential qualifications: SMSTS & CSCS First Aid at Work Temporary Works (Appointed Person/Supervisor) – desirable What’s on offer: ⭐ Basic salary (DOE) benefits ⭐ Permanent, stable role with regional travel ⭐ Genuine career progression and professional development Interested?
