Interim Financial Controller

Duration: 6 months minimum Rate: Day rate or FTC (flexible) Business Size: £50m turnover Group: Part of a larger listed groupWe're supporting a £50m turnover business, part of a wider listed group, in appointing an experienced Interim Financial Controller to lead on a range of financial improvement and remediation initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Lead the resolution of legacy finance issues impacting accuracy and reporting Oversee and improve balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls Investigate and resolve complex rebate accounting and reporting discrepancies Strengthen month-end close processes and group reporting accuracy Support the business in aligning with group standards and audit readiness Provide hands-on support to the finance team and mentor junior staff where needed Ideal Candidate: Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Proven experience in interim FC roles within mid-sized or group-owned businesses Strong reconciliation, controls, and management reporting expertise Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Experience with rebates or commercial finance issues is highly desirable.
