Job Description

Main responsibilities * Plan and prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet individual tastes and dietary needs * Use fresh, quality ingredients to provide meals that are both healthy and enjoyable * Manage stock, order supplies and make sure all food is stored and prepared safely * Lead and support the kitchen team to keep the kitchen running smoothly * Encourage residents to get involved in food-related activities and make mealtimes a positive experience About you We’re looking for someone who: * Has experience working in an adult care home and understands different dietary needs * Holds certificates in Food Hygiene and Health and Safety * Has a Food Handling Certificate and experience working in a catering environment * Has a passion for using food to nurture and care for others * Understands the importance of food hygiene, safety and quality standards * Is organised, reliable and pays attention to detail * Has basic computer skills * Is flexible and able to work on a rota, including weekends and holidays when required * Holds PVG Scheme membership, or is willing to join Working with us You’ll be part of a supportive team that values the role good food plays in care.
