We campaign on issues that matter to parents, provide infant feeding support, and run thousands of free community events and activities led by our amazing volunteers. We also support families facing challenges like social isolation, feeding difficulties, and poor mental health. We offer support in communities, in hospitals and online. Job Title: Peer Supporter, Lancashire Central Contract: Fixed Term Maternity Cover, 9-12 months Part Time: Part time Hours per week: 17.5 hours. Wed-Fri 9am –3 pm with a 10 minute break. Location: Community based in central Lancashire with some home working Salary: £11,111 pro rata based on 17.5 hrs per week (£22,222 FTE) Closing date: Friday 24th October 2025 Interview date: Week beginning the 27th October 2025 About the role Join our passionate Lancashire team and contribute to the meaningful work that transforms the lives of parents and families. Your role will include: · Providing evidence based and judgement free infant feeding and perinatal peer support to parents and families in Central Lancashire · Working out in the community, in hospitals, groups and homes, supporting parents. · Supporting our amazing volunteer peer supporters. · Collecting data to demonstrate the impact of our services About you You will be a trained NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter (or be willing to train) with experience of supporting families. You’ll need to live locally within central Lancashire and demonstrate a passion for working with or knowledge of the local communities.
