Job Description

HGV Mechanic Cookstown Cpl NI are working with a well-established company to recruit for an experienced HGV Mechanic. This role is full-time and permanent. Duties: *Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles, including low loaders, HIAB cranes, tractor units, and rigid trucks. *Deliver excellent customer service and professionally represent the company at all times. *Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using company diagnostic software, and complete necessary repairs. *Coordinate with the Stores team to source appropriate parts. *Provide occasional roadside assistance and breakdown support. *Accurately complete all service documentation and job records within set timeframes. *Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment, adhering to all health and safety procedures and standards. Criteria: *Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally working with a variety of heavy vehicles. *Strong proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software. *Solid background in diesel engine maintenance and repair. *Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. *A team player with a focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail. *Previous experience in the truck and trailer industry is essential. *A recognised mechanic qualification (or equivalent) is desirable. *Welding skills would be an advantage. *A full, valid driving licence is required.
