Automation and Tools Engineer

Job Title: Automation and Tools Engineer Location: Barcelona (on-site) About the job: We are seeking a proactive Automation and Tools Engineer with strong Python development experience to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining our automation and tools infrastructure, with a particular focus on tools and device management. You will be ultimately responsible for ensuring the efficient tracking, management of various devices on different platforms, building and maintaining our tools used in testing and adding to our test automation framework. The role will not demand any hands-on testing but working as a part of the QA team supporting them with the tools needed. What you will do: Maintain and add test cases to our existing automation frameworks using Python Manage and optimize a device farms for testing and operational management including: Implementing and maintaining systems for tracking and managing a diverse range of physical and virtual devices, including inventory, allocation, and status Utilize and automate ADB commands for device interaction, data extraction, and testing on Android platforms Utilize and automate iOS/xCode commandline tools (iDevice) for device interaction, data extraction, and testing on iOS platforms Develop, maintain and execute automated test cases for our product Collaborate closely with QA manager to understand testing requirements and integrate automation into the development lifecycle Troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues and device-related challenges Implement test result reporting, dashboard integration, and automated publishing of test outcomes to ensure transparency and facilitate fast feedback loops Create, improve and maintain tests tools used by the QA team What you will bring: Required: Strong, hands-on programming skills with proven experience in Python development for automation Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitLab) Familiarity with common Python testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest) and automating API interactions Fluent in English; any additional language is a plus Nice to have: Knowledge on device management utilities is an advantage Proficiency in using and automating ADB commands for Android devices or iMobile device commands for iOS Solid understanding of different operating systems, including device identification and management principles Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools is a plus Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases for automation tasks is a plus What we offer: For us, people come first and our highly experienced team of professionals is bringing to life their vision of the future of cybersecurity.
