Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: DH Specialty: MRI Duration: Full Time Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Must graduate from an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program. License: Current state license required. Certifications: - BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required or must be completed within 90 days of hire. - IV certification preferred or must be completed within six months of orientation. - MRI safety certification level 2 required annually. Must-Have: - Technologist must be certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT). - Technologist must become ARRT MR certified within one year of hire. - Continuing education requirements must be upheld to meet the standards set by governing bodies. Description: Performs routine and some special procedure imaging. Prepares patients for procedures. Assists radiologists when needed. Prepares, operates, and cares for the equipment being used. Adheres to established standards of care. Pursues appropriate continuing education. Assumes responsibility for assigned area and duties. Adheres to established customer service programs. Performs other duties as assigned, such as quality assurance. Exercises professional judgment in performance of procedures. Provides patient care.
