Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Tech Specialty: CT Duration: Permanent Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program License: NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required Certifications: ARRT registered (RT) and/or (CT) certified; NMTCB registered (CNMT) preferred Must-Have: - Documented training and experience in operating CT equipment and radiation physics - Passing advanced CT examination/certification within 1 year from date of hire - Continuing education requirements must be upheld to meet standards set forth by governing bodies - BLS certification through the American Heart Association required or must be completed within 90 days of hire - Clienttion dose pledge for both Image Gently and Image Wisely through the American College of Radiology will be performed during the orientation process Description: Performs routine and some special procedure imaging. Prepares patients for procedures. Assists radiologists. Prepares, operates, and cares for the equipment being used. Processes images/CDs when needed. Adheres to established radiology standards of care. Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others. Assumes responsibility for assigned areas and duties. Adheres to customer service programs. Performs quality assurance and other assigned duties. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures.
