I’m currently working with a food business who are leaders in their sector. They supply into all the leading retailers and have done for decades. They have recently embarked on an exciting period of growth so this is a great time to join this talented procurement function. The are looking for an experienced Category Procurement Manager with experience in commodities and ingredients gained in the food industry. You’ll own the CRM plan and the movement of PPV v Budget for your area, inputting into the annual budget process and identifying risks and opportunities. You’ll manage two direct reports and identify, evaluate and select best in class suppliers whilst building long term strategic partnerships. Candidates will need at least 5 years’ experience in sourcing and commodity markets gained in the food manufacturing arena. You’ll have strong supplier management experience, a high level of understanding of Incoterms and first class negotiation skills and People management experience is essential along with a strong understanding of global supply chains.
