Job Description

REQUIREMENTS Minimum education (essential): National Senior Certificate Minimum education (desired): CompTIA A or N certification Minimum applicable experience (years): 2 - 3 years Required nature of experience: Providing remote and on-site IT support to end users Troubleshooting and repairing desktop computers, printers, servers, and other IT hardware Supporting Microsoft Office 365 and other cloud-based platforms Assisting with IT infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, and implementation projects Monitoring, maintaining, and improving IT systems and tools Performing software installations, updates, and configurations Managing helpdesk queries and ensuring timely issue resolution Basic network troubleshooting and administration (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches) Skills and Knowledge (essential): Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (routers, switches, wireless) Experience in desktop, server, and hardware troubleshooting Familiarity with Office 365 administration and remote support tools Knowledge of VoIP systems and IT management platforms (RMM, MDM) Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices Strong communication and customer service orientation Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Other: Valid drivers license and own reliable transport Proficient in English (Afrikaans advantageous) KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS IT Support and Troubleshooting Provide remote and on-site technical support to end users. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot and repair desktop computers, printers, servers, and other IT hardware. Log and track support requests, ensuring timely resolution and user satisfaction. Systems Maintenance and Monitoring Maintain and monitor IT systems, servers, and tools for performance and reliability. Perform regular updates, patches, and preventive maintenance. Ensure data backups and system security protocols are in place and functional. Assist in identifying and addressing potential system risks or failures. Infrastructure Support and Upgrades Assist with the installation, configuration, and upgrading of IT infrastructure. Support the rollout of new hardware, software, and system enhancements. Collaborate with senior IT staff to improve network and server performance. Cloud and Platform Support Support users on Office 365 and other cloud-based platforms. Assist with user account management, access control, and system configurations. Monitor platform performance and ensure data accessibility and security. Remuneration Offered Market related
