Job Description Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Distribution Center Associate’s role is to support the efficient operation of the distribution center by performing a combination of warehouse and driving duties. Responsibilities include receiving, staging, storing, and delivering overhead garage doors, hardware, springs, and openers. This position requires operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment, as well as safely operating company box trucks to deliver products to customers in both residential and commercial settings. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Lift, stack, and organize overhead garage doors, track, hardware, springs, and openers. Load and off-load materials, verify counts to purchase orders, and inspect shipments for damage. Sort stock materials from job materials. Utilize proper paperwork to prepare materials/products to stage for deliveries accurately. Load overhead doors and products onto customer vehicles/trailers. Conduct daily cycle counts and annual inventory counts to maintain an accurate inventory. Utilize hand tools, mechanical equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, and other motorized equipment. Safely operate gasoline or diesel-powered box trucks to transport goods to customers (residential and commercial). Back trucks into tight spaces including docks, bays, and customer sites. Read packing slips and ensure accurate delivery of products to customers. Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and report any issues to management. Track and report routine vehicle maintenance needs. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Support and promote a safe work environment. Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to use industrial equipment, carts, pallets, and other tools related to warehouse and delivery functions. Ability to consistently lift and move items up to 50 lbs. Ability to accurately read maps/atlases and follow delivery instructions. Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
