Job Description
Seeking a suitable candidate for an E-Commerce Administrator role. This position is based in Jacobs, Durban. Job Summary: The E-commerce Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and optimization of the companys e-commerce platforms. This role ensures that products are accurately listed, online sales processes run smoothly, and customer experiences are optimized for engagement and conversions. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain product listings on the companys e-commerce platforms Upload product content including descriptions, pricing, images, specifications, and inventory levels. Monitor website performance, identify issues, and coordinate with IT or development teams to resolve technical problems. Work with marketing and content teams to implement promotions, banners, campaigns, and seasonal updates. Ensure product data accuracy and consistency across all digital platforms. Analyze e-commerce data and generate reports on traffic, sales performance, conversion rates, and user behavior. Provide support for online customer inquiries and order issues, coordinating with customer service as needed. Optimize on-site SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to improve search rankings and traffic. Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory/warehouse teams to update availability. Assist in testing and implementing new features, plugins, or third-party integrations for the e-commerce platform. Stay updated with e-commerce trends, tools, and best practices Requirements: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in managing e-commerce platforms Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus. Familiarity with SEO, Google Analytics, and digital marketing tools. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with product information management (PIM) systems. Knowledge of digital marketing practices such as email campaigns, PPC, or social commerce. Previous experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
