PACU has to have ICU experience.Recent PACU/Preop experience and minimum 2 years ICU experience requirednot surgicenter experience - they do not see the level of complexity of patients that we see in a level I trauma center. Candidates must possess the ability to think critically and to work independently. PALS, BLS & ACLS RequiredCPAN, TNCC, CCRN - highly desirable Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district - Required PACU/Preop Experience - Required: 2 Years Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program Required BSN - Highly desired\"?? Monitor post-operative patients' levels of recovery and consciousness from anesthesia and provide updates to the medical team as needed.?? Obtain and record patients' vital signs. ?? Observe patients for signs of side effects of anesthesia medication. ?? Treat pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia and administer medication as prescribed.??
