Pay Information $2,002 per week About The Position ID: 73038615 Shift: 12H Nights EOW, Every other holiday, first to float Description: Unit : UnitMed-Tele Acute/ Obs and Swingbed*Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS*NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT- of Beds: 19- Ratios: 1:3-6- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Acute and Swingbed - pneumonia, rehab, COPD, CHF, pancreatitis, GI bleed- Experience or 'Must have' skills: IV starts, telemetry, NG, foley insertion- How many years experience required?: 1- Previous travel experience required?: No- Are RNs required to titrate drips?: No- Common titratable &/or set rate drips:- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift?: No- Does the charge nurse take an assignment?:n/a- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes we have one CNA per shift - they do the personal cares, vitals, weights- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.): All of those- Are RNs required to do anything with RT equipment besides trouble shoot?: Yes they need to set it up and be competent with Bipap, Cpap, HFNC- Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit?: no- Are RNs required to read their own strips?: yes- What brand are the tele monitors?: Mindray- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 7a-7p, 7p,7a // team scheduling- Do you allow self-scheduling or Block scheduling?: Possible- Weekend Requirements: Every other- Holiday Requirements: Every other- Is there Call or a Standby requirement?: No- Call Response Time: NA- Floating Requirements/Please confirm what units are required to float to: Med/Tele Acute/Obs/Swingbed- What units do travelers need experience for this floor?: Medical, Tele- Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?: Need own scrubs - any color- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: typically 3-4 12 hour shifts- Additional Notes: RNs on this floor may be part of the code team. This floor has great teamwork and a positive culture. Attributes that help make a nurse successful on this floor include dependable, caring, knowledgeable, and flexibleRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
