Job Description

Job Responsibilities: Provide friendly, professional service to all patients, families, and staff during every interaction—whether in person, over the phone, or through electronic messaging. Perform accurate and timely registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification to support efficient patient access to care. Monitor patient wait times and proactively communicate delays or updates to patients and team members to ensure a positive experience. Respond to patient questions and requests for information while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review financial worklists and complete necessary follow‐up actions, such as updating insurance information or correcting billing details, as directed. Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies by monitoring usage and coordinating timely restocking or ordering when needed. Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and regulatory standards, contributing to a safe and effective care environment. Participate in performance improvement activities and team initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality and patient satisfaction. Position Qualifications: Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Two years' experience in medical environment with working knowledge of insurance applicable to outpatient medical care. Proficient computer skills, knowledge of Medical Terminology, experience with scheduling. Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Current driver's license Work Environment Work is performed in an office environment that requires working in proximity to other employees and patients. The office is air conditioned, as well we heated. Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants is possible. Environment is fast‐paced and includes frequent interruptions. Position requires frequent sitting, walking, standing and bending, with the possibility of patient transport. Mobility may include access through a multi‐level facility, including climbing stairs, as well as coverage of multiple sites. Reasonable access to transportation to meet work requirements made in the ordinary course of business in a timely and efficient manner is necessary.
