Bp's customers & products (C&P) business area is setting up a business and technology centre (BTC) in Pune, India. This will support the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities at scale, demonstrating technology, and developing deep expertise. The BTC will be a core and connected part of our business, bringing together colleagues who report into their respective part of C&P, working together with other functions across bp. Role Objective Ensure the delivery of risk-mitigated revenue, unit sales, and gross margin for BP by applying both qualitative and quantitative methods of control, analysis, and preparation of master and performance data. This supports key interested parties including the Pricing Manager, Convenience Pricing Cockpit Analysts, Category Managers and Sales Operations. Key Responsibilities - Contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of pricing data base (data structure, data mappings, data hierarchy) within the Convenience business. - Support process optimization initiatives aimed at enhancing the Pricing Manager’s ability to fulfill their role effectively, with a particular focus on increasing the degree of automation across relevant workflows. Key Accountabilities: 1. Performance Analysis & Reporting - Identify and analyze key performance indicators required by the business. - Develop and maintain corresponding reports and analytical tools in collaboration with Pricing Manager and Category Management. 2. Category Support & Monitoring - Professional support in both interpretation and monitoring of category performance, with focus on purchase price dynamics and selling price dynamics. - Collaborate closely with the Category Management team to ensure data-driven decision-making. 3. System Enhancement Support - Support backlog management and maintenance for system enhancements related to BOS & POS system 4. Article Master Data Management - Ensure article master data remain accurate and consistent - Maintaining high standards of data quality through close coordination with key collaborators. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as a business partner to IT&S to ensure error-free applications and facilitate accurate data flows between all collaborators alongside end to end pricing processes. 6. Process Enhancements & Optimization - Analyze, document, and coordinate end to end pricing processes. - Support implementation, stabilization and continuous improvement of end to end pricing processes. Delegations of Authority Role includes delegated authority from line manager, with primary focus on making sales price decisions in alignment with the Business Unit (BU) plan. Education Candidates should possess one of the following educational backgrounds: Completed commercial training or a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or IT Management. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, preferable focus Sales and/or Marketing. Training as an Industrial Business Management Assistant Professional Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Retail or Marketing sector Strong understanding of billing and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems Profound experience working with SAP (including data handling and end to end process integration). Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & Power BI, for data analysis and reporting. Solid knowledge of article master data management (esp. e2e process simplification). Skills & Competencies Retail Business Acumen Good understanding of sector trends, customer behavior, competitive landscape, and market drivers. Expertise in interpreting data, understanding business context, and applying insights within a commercial context. Experience in developing and executing pricing strategies across multiple categories and formats. Skilled in data collection, KPI identification, and performance reporting to support decision-making. Strong Communication Skills; German language skills are desirable. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally within the retail organization. Why Join our team?
